Nobel Prize dates set
The Nobel Foundation said on Friday dates were set for the announcement of five of the six Nobel Prizes to be handed out later this year.
The Nobel Prize in:
Physiology or Medicine — Monday, October 2
Physics — Tuesday, October 3
Chemistry — Wednesday October 4
Economics — Monday, October 9
Peace — Friday, October 13
As in previous years, the Nobel Prize in Literature will be announced later.
Each 2006 Nobel Prize will be worth 10 million kronor, the same as in 2005.
The Nobel Prize winners will receive the award at a ceremony in Stockholm on December 10. The Peace Prize will be given in Oslo.
