The man's injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

On Sunday morning the person who fired the shots had not been caught. The victim, on the other hand, had been arrested after it emerged that there was an international arrest warrant out for him.

At about the same time as the shooting there were five other crimes in the area - three cases of assault in and near the bar, one robbery and a knife incident in a walkway in the vicinity.

One of those assaulted was a man who was hit on the head with a beer glass. He was taken to hospital and the attacker was arrested.
