Drunk Pole burned down Stockholm bar

A Polish man, while on a drinking binge near Stockholm, broke into a restaurant to steal alcohol and later returned to set fire to the establishment, Swedish daily Expressen said on Saturday.
The 30-year-old Pole was so desperate to obtain drink during his spree in May, he broke into the restaurant on the island of Husaroe, outside Stockholm, and made off with a wheelbarrow full of spirits, the paper said.
Later the same evening, fearing he had left evidence on the premises that could link him to the break-in, he returned and set fire to the building using his lighter and two crisp packets, according to the paper.
The ensuing blaze destroyed the property.
In addition to his theft from the restaurant, the man burgled eight houses on the island taking alcohol, cash, an axe and an air rifle.
The man has been jailed for seven years and been banned from Sweden for life.
