Sony Ericsson takes over mobile plant

Mobile telephone maker Sony Ericsson is to take over a plant in Hässleholm, southern Sweden, currently operated by Ericsson.
The deal secures 84 jobs, which had been expected to go since Ericsson, which owns half of Sony Ericsson, announced the plant's closure.
The site produces software for mobile telephones. The employees have all been offered jobs with the new owners, who plan to take over the plant on 1st July.
