Female judge held for child rape

A female magistrate and active politician Örebro was detained for raping a 13-year old boy, according to reports.
The woman, who is in her fifties, is being held on suspicion of several counts of child rape.
The charges were confirmed a court hearing in the town on Friday. Local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda reported that the woman denies all charges.
Prosecutor Lars Duberg confirmed to Dagens Nyheter that the charges had been made, but refused to give further details.
Magistrates, or lay judges, preside in Swedish criminal and administrative courts on panels together with professional judges. They are appointed by political parties.
