The prosecutor has asked for more time and Umeå district court granted their request on Thursday.

The prosecutor, Annika Öster, has also requested that Lindgren undergo a major psychiatric assessment which could take more than four weeks. The district court is to make a decision on that shortly. The man, who has confessed to six attacks, must be formally prosecuted by 24th May.

The result of the assessment will form the basis of the sentence Umeå district court will pass - prison or secure psychiatric care.
