Student brought axe to school
Police were called to a school near Växjö, southern Sweden, on Tuesday, after a pupil arrived armed with an axe.
The incident, at the school in the community of Åseda, to the north-east of the town, started when two 14-year old boys fell out with each other when one was moved out of special needs classes into regular school.
The boy who was forced to stay in special needs hid the axe his jacket when he arrived at school.
“He didn’t use it to threaten anyone”, confirmed Bengt Almqvist at Växjö police, although he added that he did throw stones at one of his teachers.
One of the other students disarmed the boy.
