Man shot in Helsingborg
A man was shot outside a newsagents' in central Helsingborg on Tuesday morning. The emergency services were alerted when they received a call from the 37-year old victim saying he had been shot.
He was taken by ambulance to the hospital while the police started a search for the culprits.
The incident took place near a news agent on Kadettgatan and according to Helsingborg’s Dagbladet the man suffered severe bleeding. He had been shot in the hip area, and his injuries are said not to be life threatening.
A large part of Västra Berga was been sectioned off by the police.
A search party was searching on Tuesday afternoon for two men dressed in hooded tops, who, according to a witness, left the area by foot after the shooting.
Police say they are treating the incident as attempted murder.
