Ericsson executives deny charges
The trial of a number of former and current top executives at Ericsson began on Monday morning at Stockholm district court. They stand accused of obstructing tax checks, serious bookkeeping crimes and supplying false testimonials in connection with payments to intermediaries in a number of major deals between 1998 and 1999.
All of those accused deny the charges.
"Obviously I'm innocent," said Ericsson's head of strategy Torbjörn Nilsson to TT.
"But it's clear that it's naturally not much fun to end up in this situation. I am carrying on working as normal in the company and since I am innocent I also have the confidence of the management."
