Jeweller shot in Uppsala raid
The owner of a jewellery shop in Eriksberg in Uppsala was shot as the store was robbed on Thursday morning. Two men were arrested by police within an hour of the raid.
It is still unclear how serious the injuries to the store owner are, however.
"According to our information it was a gunshot wound in the leg," said Uppsala police spokesman Christer Nordström to TT.
The raid took place at 9.30am but no details have yet emerged as to whether the robbers escaped with any goods from the shop.
A major police hunt is in progress and two people have already been arrested in the vicinity of Vaksala square. The arrest was undramatic, say police.
