Avalanche Swede dies in Austria

A 24-year old Swedish man who became trapped under an avalanche in St. Anton, Austria, on Saturday, died in hospital in Innsbruck on Sunday afternoon.
The man was buried under the avalanche for about half and hour before being rescued by two friends. He appeared lifeless, but two doctors at the scene managed to get him breathing again. The man was taken to hospital, but his condition deteriorated on Sunday and he died.
"We cannot yet reveal his identity as not all his relatives have been informed," said Jan Janonius at Sweden's foreign ministry.
