MTG to launch TV6

Modern Times Group AB said it will launch a new free (non-subscription) Swedish TV channel, TV6, at the start of May.
MTG said TV6 will be a broad entertainment channel, and be made available unencrypted and free of charge via the Swedish terrestrial digital network, its unit Viasat's satellite TV platform, and via third-party cable operators.
MTG said its TV3, ZTV and TV8 channels are already broadcasting in the Swedish digital terrestrial network, and that their national penetration levels have gradually increased with the growth of both the digital terrestrial network and Viasat's own satellite platform.
