Kluft out for rest of indoor season
Swedish heptathlete Carolina Kluft said on Friday she would not participate in any events this indoor season due to a risk of injury, including the 11th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Moscow.
Kluft said she had suffered from hamstring cramps this winter, which forced her to take a break and revise her training method.
"I am not injured right now, but have still decided to abstain from the coming indoor season," Kluft said in a statement.
"The risk of sustaining more minor injuries is too great, on top of which I have missed many important training sessions which means that I don't feel 100 percent prepared," she said.
