Saab wins 150 million kronor Gripen deal
Saab AB said it has won an order worth 150 million kronor from the Swedish military to integrate the IRIS-T air-to-air missile onto the Gripen fighter aircraft.
Saab plans to test-fire the first IRIS-T missile from a Gripen in 2007, but said the integration process will commence immediately and continue until 2009.
The IRIS-T has previously been ordered by Sweden to enhance the Gripen's close combat performance.
