Webcam nets retirement home thief
After two years of unsolved thefts from the room of a 92 year old woman at a retirement home in Karlskoga, her son took matters into his own hands.
He rigged up a web camera in the room and has now reported one of the home's employees to the police for theft. The pictures from the camera showed her taking cash from the woman's purse.
"The evidence against the female employee is strong," said Teppo Mullfors, of Karlskoga police, to the local paper, Nerikes Allehanda.
The son had written down the number on each of the notes in his mother's purse and at a search of the suspected thief's home, the same notes were found by police.
