Ikea founder still richest in Switzerland
Ingvar Kamprad, the Swedish billionaire who founded the Ikea budget furnishings chain, has maintained his position as Switzerland's richest resident, a magazine's rich list said Monday.
According to the 300-name annual tally published by business magazine Bilan, which includes a mixture of Swiss citizens and foreigners based in the low-tax Alpine country, Kamprad's fortune climbed to an estimated 20-21 billion Swiss francs (15.2-15.9 billion dollars).
The wealth of the Swede, who lives near Lausanne, was 5 billion Swiss francs more than in the 2004 listing.
