Cathedral web pages become porn site

Swedes seeking a dose of online spirituality have been shocked to find that what they thought was a church web site is now offering not so much compassion as passion.
Until recently, www.domkyrkan.nu was the web site for Linköping Cathedral, offering information about the forthcoming prayer services, charitable work carried out in the diocese, and times of guided tours.
Now, however, the address links to hardcore German porn.
The cathedral changed its web site address and apparently relinquished its old address rather than redirecting visitors to the new one.
"Someone must have snapped up the domain name when it became available and directed visitors to the porn site," said Magnus Råsten at Norrköping police.
Råsten told local newspaper Östgöta Correspondenten that it was "utterly nasty", but not criminal.
The cathedral's new web site can be found at www.linkopingsdomkyrka.se.
