Rising optimism among investors

Optimism among stock market investors has increased substantially in recent months, a new survey from Skop has revealed.
The proportion of shareholders who believe that share prices will rise over the next few months has increased by 11.6 percentage points to 60.7 percent. Only 6.9 percent believe that share prices will fall.
There is less optimism among Swedes in general, including those who do not own shares. A large number, 42.7 percent, think that prices will rise, but nearly half, 49.5 percent, believe that there will be no change in share prices.
The survey was based on interviews with 1,100 people between the ages of 18 and 84 and was carried out between 21st September and 13th October.
