"Right now we don't know what killed the ducks," Ingela Hiltula, head of Eskilstuna's environmental health department told the Folket newspaper.

Around ten ducks have so far been found dead. The birds are now being examined to see whether they had been infected with bird flu. It is possible that they had a completely different illness.

"The National Veterinary Institute has confirmed that it is quite normal for ducks to be found dead. We'll only know what has happened when the analysis is complete," siad Hiltula.
