DFDS acquires new UK-Sweden route
DFDS AS said it has acquired a shipping line currently operated by Cobelfret AB between Gothenburg in Sweden and Killingholme in the UK, with effect from June 14th.
The service is currently operated by the two Cobelfret Ro-Ro vessels, Brita Oden and Eva Oden, and these two vessels will be time-chartered by DFDS for a 12-month period.
The service will continue, but will switch from Killingholme to Immingham, DFDS said.
The parties have agreed not to disclose further terms of the agreement, but DFDS said the acquisition is not expected to have any significant influence on the 2005 results.
