Norway "to import Swedish heads"

Svenska Dagbladet reported on Thursday that Oslo's teaching hospital, Rikshospitalet, is running out of body parts for their anatomy classes.

Now they are interested in "importing Swedish heads for studying and biology research". There is a lack of donors in Norway and it means that the country has to turn to "a new form of cross-border trade", as SvD put it.

The hospital wants to import heads from Swedish corpses.

"We just have to do this", said Dr. Trygve Lundar at Rikshospitalet to the Norwegian papers. It is believed that animal heads and plastic models cannot give the students the insight they need.

The hospital board believes their students should practice on "the real thing" if they're to get a head start in their medical careers.
