Work at Eskilstorget will create 2500 square meters of space over two floors. A new indoor market place, a new public entrance, as well as parking space for ninety cars is also planned.

As part of the renovation, existing shop-facades will be improved, and the selection of restaurants in the centre is also expected to be strengthened.

The centre is owned by Rodamco Europe. The expansion is part of the company's aim to increase business in the region, as well as improving the facilities for the local community.

Haninge Centrum is Södertörn's largest shopping mall with 58 stores at present and annually attracts five million shoppers.

Work is scheduled for completion in 2006.
