Ericsson announces biggest ever service order
Ericsson has won an order worth 10 billion crowns to take over the operation of Hutchison’s entire 3G network in Italy. This is the largest ever order for Ericsson’s service division and one of the largest ever for the company as a whole.
However, according to Dagens Industri the market missed a trick on the day of the announcement, Thursday, and Ericsson’s share price dropped by 2.9 per cent.
"I don’t think the market realised how important this changing emphasis to services is for Ericsson," commented Helena Nordman-Knutson, telecoms analyst at Öhman.
