"The roads are incredibly icy in the northern parts of Stockholm, especially in the Arlanda, Märsta, Knivsta and Upplands Väsby regions," said Göran Sköld at the rescue services in Roslagen.

It appears road workers couldn’t keep up with preparing the icy roads with salt solution due to very heavy sleet.

It was also reported that one man tried to abandon his vehicle after having crashed it, but was hit by a car whilst doing so. There have been no reports of his injuries, explained DN.
