Sweden's horses counted
For the first time ever, all the horses in Sweden have been counted. According to Wednesday's Dagens Nyheter the National Bureau of Statistics has concluded that there are at least 300,000 horses in the country, most of which live in areas near big cities.
Apparently 47,000 horses graze the pastures of Västra Götaland and 35,000 horses live in Skåne. There are 26,000 horses in fields around Stockholm.
