BEERS AND ALES

Beer is like bread. Golden, liquid bread. It is made of the same flavoursome, yeasty ingredients with some hops lobbed in for good measure. Beer has formed an integral part of the diet in numerous cultures - you could say it's as much of a British staple as bangers and mash.

This has created a range of styles for our delectation. There's traditional rich English ales such as Bishop's Finger and London Pride, or how about a refreshing crisp lager from the Czech Republic? Travel further east for Russia's malty Baltika. Head to Italy for the full-bodied Peroni Gran Riserva. Belgium and Germany are renowned for their full, complex, heady brews; try the rich, sweet and spicy Duvel, or the zingy, fruity flavours of a wheat beer from Erdinger.

All products come from local breweries within a 40 mile radius delivered directly to store.
